Role Overview:
The Merchandising Sample Coordinator – Women’s & Men's is responsible for assisting the Men’s and Women’s Merchandising teams with all facets of sample management throughout our product development and launch lifecycle. This role serves one of the most important facets of our merchandising operations as they will be tracking samples prior to market, organizing and coordinating the shipments to our agents across the world, as well as organizing and assisting with all sample needs for e-commerce and marketing photoshoots. As a member of the Merchandising team, this individual will partner closely with all cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Design, Production, Product Development, Ecommerce, Sales, and Marketing.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Partner with the Men’s and Women’s merchandising leads to prepare for all styles being sampled seasonally, as well as any late adds and chase requests.
- Partner with Product Development on seasonal sample tracking prior to each seasonal market.
- Create and maintain sample tracker for all salesmen samples.
- Work closely with Men’s and Women’s Merchandising leads and Product Development to understand sample execution and accuracy, as well as preparing and gathering all additional sample requests from our agents.
- Work closely with Product Development to prepare, receive, and organize sample lines prior to executing the shipment of samples to our NY office and wholesale agents.
- Manage in-office sample organization.
- Field, locate, and coordinate all sample requests from cross-functional partners
- Partner with Ecommerce team to locate, organize, and hand-off samples for monthly ecommerce photoshoots.
- Partner with Marketing on all sample needs for photoshoots.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 + year of experience in the fashion industry, experience with samples preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must have a strong passion and admiration for product.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong ability to create relationships across all teams.
- Understanding of business driver components (eg. sales reports, history, and company trends).
- Strong ability to manage time successfully and execute on priorities in a timely manner.
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to operate independently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, STRONG EXCEL skills and Google Suite
